Bridget's Puppy Pre-School
I am very passionate about raising healthy, confident and robust puppies. I believe Puppy School should not only teach you the basic obedience exercises your dog might be expected to know as an adult, but should also provide new dog owners with the knowledge they need to successfully settle their puppy into their new family as quickly and easily as possible.
In my classes I have a strong focus on correct socialisation of your puppy with the world around them, not just other dogs. Up until approximately 4 months of age, puppies are in a ‘critical phase’ or ‘sensitive developmental period’. This means that they are primed for bonding to humans and other animals and for learning about the environment around them. They're like empty sponges ready to soak up the world around them. So the more positive experiences we can provide for our puppy during this period the better!
It’s also important to have fun with our puppies through play and training! Discovering what your puppies’ favourite foods, toys and tricks are is all part of the fun of Puppy School. At the end of the course you will have the skills you need to set your puppy up for success in life.
