HYDROTHERAPY , STRENGTH & CONDITIONING
Alternative Therapies
Our Hydrotherapy, Strength & Conditioning services are designed to support dogs at every stage of their physical journey — whether as part of a pre-surgery preparation, post-surgical rehabilitation, or as a conservative alternative to surgery where appropriate.
These therapies focus on improving overall fitness, mobility, and long-term wellbeing, while supporting strength, balance, and functional movement. Programs can also assist with injury prevention and include tailored home-care strategies to help maintain progress between sessions.
Veterinary referral and diagnosis are recommended to ensure the most effective treatment plan, but are not mandatory.

💧What is Hydrotherapy?
Hydrotherapy is a gentle yet effective form of resistance exercise and rehabilitation that uses the therapeutic benefits of water. At Kylie’s K-9 Hydrotherapy, we use a specialised underwater treadmill within a glass chamber, with water heated to a therapeutic 28–30°C.
This controlled exercise helps relieve pain, reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and relax tight muscles, supporting your dog’s overall comfort and wellbeing. Hydrotherapy can be used as part of a rehabilitation program for pre- and post-surgery care, injury support, weight management, and fitness conditioning.
We also welcome dogs who simply enjoy hydrotherapy as a fun, low-impact way to stay fit and active.

What do I need to do before my hydrotherapy session?
- Brush or wash your dog if nessicary before coming to your session and avoid any grooming sprays etc
- Arrive 10 minutes before your session so your dog has time to toilet – we can’t stress this enough. We understand misakes happen but would like to avoid where we can. If your dog does toilet in the tank your dog’s hydrotherapy session will be cut short because we have to dump the water and clean the tank.
- Give your dog a rest from their normal daily exercies on this day, especially if they’re recovering from an injury.
What do I need to bring to my Hydrotherapy session?
- We recommend bringing a towel, so you can keep your dog dry on the way home
- Treats for your dog during their session, we will always have some on hand if you forget
- We provide the life jackets so you do not need to bring one
